Frequently asked questions
Do French nationals need a visa for Turkey?
No. French nationals (and the whole EU, the UK, Switzerland, the US, Canada, Japan…) are visa-exempt for a stay of up to 90 days per 180-day period. French nationals can even enter with their national ID card alone.
I live in France with a residence permit (Algerian, Senegalese, Egyptian, Indian…): can I get the e-visa?
Yes, under conditions: your nationality must be eligible for the e-visa (this is the case for Algeria, Senegal, Egypt, India…) and you must hold a valid supporting document (a valid Schengen visa, or a valid US, UK or Ireland visa/residence permit; electronic visas are not accepted), travel with an approved airline and show a hotel booking + funds.
Which nationalities must go through the consulate?
Nationalities that are neither exempt nor eligible for the e-visa must apply for a consular visa at the Turkish embassy. Select your nationality above: your case appears automatically.
How long does the e-visa take?
The answer usually arrives within 24 to 72 hours for a complete and eligible file.

Direct arrivals in Bali are subject to a tourist levy. We can pay and pre-register it for you to avoid the queue on arrival.
Official invitation required
Your nationality requires an official invitation (with a number issued by the authorities) to obtain the e-visa. This number must be entered in the application. It is not a personal invitation from a friend or relative.
If you do not have an official number, your invitation is not valid for the e-visa: choose the option above so that we obtain it.
Repatriation insurance
