The land border between Cambodia and Thailand is closed since 2025, with no reopening date. A ceasefire came into effect on 27 December 2025, but the Thai government publicly denied reopening rumours in June 2026.
✈️ What works normally: flying. The Bangkok — Phnom Penh and Bangkok — Siem Reap routes are operating. If your trip combines both countries, this is the only practicable itinerary today.
⚠️ France Diplomatie formally advises against any travel within a 30 km strip along the border (50 km on the Thai side). The borders with Laos and Vietnam are not affected. Information verified on 18 July 2026 — an evolving situation.
